I am Maya and I am made from well loved jeans, donated pink Donegal tweed, gorgeous handwoven fairtade fabric from Maya Traditions and a beautiful navy floral patterned duvet.

I love making these zero waste reversible waistcoats.  Sitting with all my remnants, donated fabrics and off cuts to create them is like putting a puzzle together.  I love that both sides of this waistcoat have a different vibe.

Maya's price reflects some slight reversible imperfections while I try to master my reversable skills.  Combining different textiles can be fiddly but the next batch will be much tidier.

  • All Zero Waste Reversible Waistcoats so like you, I am one of a kind.

Depending on how you'd like me to fit will dictate which size is best for you.  Size 1 (UK6-Uk10) Size 2(UK8-UK12) Size 3 (UK10- UK14) Size 4 (UK14-UK18)

The waistcoats do not have closures and sit high but are not cropped.  They look great with highwaisted trousers!

Always happy to work with you to make a waistcoat just for you if you have an old duvet or tablecloth that you like the pattern of or maybe you've got some fabric that you haven't used.

    Care

These waistcoats are made from denim, cotton, handwoven textiles, tweed, loads of different types of fabric.  For that reason, I'd say wash me less and when you do give me a cold wash and pop me out on the line. Tweed is a wool-based product and this is generally not a good idea to put in the washing machine. Wool clothing can shrink during a wash, as the speed and heat pumped through water alters the material. As well as this, tumble drying is also not a good idea for similar reasons.
