I am Maya and I am made from Fairtrade textiles handwoven by the amazing women of the Maya Traditions Foundation in Guatemala using a method called backstrap weaving.  The women are physically attached to their loom and a tree making the weaving itself a true connection between artisan and nature.  The fabric is dyed by the women using local plants. This protects the artisans, community, and natural surroundings by reducing the use of synthetic chemicals in dying . The colours and quality of the fabric are vibrant and outstanding.  Elasticated waist means it can be a longer skirt for a 2 year old or above knee for a 4.
