All FairPlay skirts, shorts and trousers for children are made with elasticated waists to allow for comfort and a long life.
If possible get your little one’s waist measurement to choose the correct size for them. (Your 5 year old may fit into a 2-3 depending on their size.) For length of skirts and trousers measure from either their natural or low waist depending where you'd like it to sit.
Most skirts are above the knee.
