I am Elle and I was made using a duvet cover from what was the amazing Enigma Salvage secondhand shop of treasures.
Finally something for women! Inspired by a vintage dress of my lovely Nana Beverly, Elle has a real boho festival vibe about her! French seams mean durable and a long life. I create based on what I can get my hands on and the nature of using remnants often means you only have enough for one dress. Fortunately, I had enough for two of these beauties to make a smaller and larger dress (the larger's bodice was once a pillowcase). These dresses are part of the Enigma Collection and hold a special place as Vanessa used to always let me know when fabric in the way of duvets, tablecloths, curtains or remnants would make their way to Enigma Salvage.
